- 15 days before an upcoming payment, Stripe sends out an email notifying the customer about the upcoming charge.

Expiring cards
- If Stripe notices that the card on file is expiring, it sends out an email 30 days before the card expiration date with a link to update card details or add a new card
Failed payments
- If a payment fails, Stripe sends out an Email to the customer about the failed payment
- This email contains a link that gives the customer the ability to update their card details
- Stripe will try up to 4 times within a week.
- Again, from the same email, the customer can manage their account and cancel or update their card details.
